KANPAi! Issue 5

In the Gaijin issue we looked at Japanese drinking culture through a Western lens, and how our two worlds have infiltrated one another. Our beautiful Nine Aesthetics shoot takes the defining principles of Japanese beauty and renders them in drinkable format, while we’ve pulled off a thrilling coup by bagging the legendary Ueno San to talk us through his life behind the bar. We’ve had some fun with Japanese packaging, tried some Japanese wine and had a really good look behind the bar at Sexy Fish. All this and more inside.
